If you're using TorGuard VPN, the Mumbai server will not work (apparently Microsoft knows their IP addresses). You'll get the "purchased in a different region from your account" error. However, the Bangalore server works perfectly.
Some other VPNs may also have the same issue. The "purchased in a different region from your account" error typically means you should try connecting to a different city in India or try using a different VPN. It does not mean that you should change your XBox account's region from the US to India, this is never required.

I repeat.. Game Pass Ultimate will NOT go up in price. Stop reading BS from people that don't actually play video games --> IE - all current "reviewers". Put this post on your Calendars a year out.
How would they help them out make money? This is a business. You don't spend billions to close out the thing you are counting on to make you money in the long run. >SUBS<
Bought three 6-month India core subs (didn't want the full three years) and claimed Eneba cashback ($4.xx)
Turned on VPN to India, and went to redeem.microsoft.com in an incognito window
Redeemed all three codes so game pass core membership valid through 11/25
Went back to Eneba and bought India 1 month game pass ultimate subscription ($4.xx after redeeming previous cashback)
With VPN on, went back to redeem.microsoft.com and redeemed the Ultimate subscription code.
This converted my 11/25 expiring core pass to ultimate which expires on 06/25 (3:2 ratio now). However, after doing this Microsoft offered an additional month free if I turned on recurring billing so now my ultimate expires on 07/25 of course I promptly turned off recurring billing. So all in it was probably ~40 for 14 months or ~3 bucks/month

Once I claimed the cashback I had to add some funds (used a privacy card) to get to the total required for the Ultimate subscription since Eneba doesn't let you pay partially for the order using cashback. Essentially the cashback is an Eneba gift card
