If you're using TorGuard VPN, the Mumbai server will not work (apparently Microsoft knows their IP addresses). You'll get the "purchased in a different region from your account" error. However, the Bangalore server works perfectly.
Some other VPNs may also have the same issue. The "purchased in a different region from your account" error typically means you should try connecting to a different city in India or try using a different VPN. It does not mean that you should change your XBox account's region from the US to India, this is never required.

too be fair the post doesnt say anything of the sort. in fact it agree with me, is xbox game pass core. reading through the replies will clarify though.
what i didnt realize is it's stackable with my current sub. for some reason i thought i had to let mine expire first as usual.
anyways i did it, was $80 after fee, i stacked 7. but then again that'll be way less than tax. i swear over the years these hoops get dodgier and dodgier and this one takes the cake, but everything worked and fairly easily, altho it was 20 minutes of work, completing captchas etc. urban vpn worked fine if a little slow. then i immediately uninstalled it cus i dont trust it lol
my ugp that expired in early august now is good until 3/2026. not bad. altho, as i was halfway through i realized i should probably quit gaming and sell my xbox anytime now tbh. but it was too late. oh well.
i was wondering how many big xbox exclusives i care about will this get me in the next 2 yrs. it might only be one tbh, something like gears collection. too be fair they did put jedi survivor on there recently.
it works out to something like 4.08/month for ugp. again not bad at all. i have never paid more than circa 5 a month. for 6 years now and 2 more upcoming.
