There's no such thing as a best. It's why every guitarist who really gets into guitars owns guitars from all sorts of brands, including unheard of ones. It completely comes down to what style you like. EVH guitars are amazing. Schecter guitars are amazing. ESP isn't my style, but they still make great guitars. Your comment tells me you need to go to a guitar shop and try some stuff out.

I don't mean that as an insult. You really just need to try various guitars. The brand doesn't matter. Try different styles of guitars. See what feels and sounds good to you.

Wow, I got this exact guitar for $759 from ProAudioStar (listed as new, not open box, etc.), and that was a crazy good deal at the time (Mar 2023). This is a great guitar, 1000 series Floyd Rose with D Tuna (very cool, go from standard to drop d in like 1 second without touching the nut lock/tuners). Also, KILL SWITCH Big Grin. Nice build, good p/u's, great neck, fun finish, etc., I haven't wanted to upgrade anything... well... I would rather have the purple quilt top version of this, but that is like $400 more at the cheapest that I have even seen the purple.

Most ESPs and Schecters come out of the same factory, FYI. I'm a Schecter fan, myself.
