$100 cheaper in costco.
Not the same item. That one is 14-inch (this one is 16-inch) for one thing. No num pad, I stopped comparing after this. Nice alternative for those who prefer 14-inch screen and no num pad.

Not sure if it's an ASUS thing, AMD thing, or OEM thing, but this laptop's ports seem a bit underwhelming in terms of speed. A 10 gig usb port or two would be nice is all I'm saying!

This is their most buget Vivobook series and Asus and other manufacturers normally don't provide advanced ports like 10 Gbps USB or Thunderbolt for these models. In fact, this Vivobook 2023 model is a good upgrade over last couple of yera's moddels where thy used to provide 2xUSB 2.0 PORT and a data only usb-c.

Yeah with the display having only 45% NTSC coverage I can't imagine it being a very good screen. Also unfortunate you only have one USB-C port. But otherwise, for this processor and this amount of RAM+storage this seems like a pretty solid value.

I'm guessing it's ASUS purposefully holding back on the USB-C port as the CPU natively supports 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) Ports (per AMD). So ASUS likely has programmed the BIOS to downgrade to a lower standard USB port.
