Q&A about the RAM mentions 8GB stick soldered and can replace the other 8GB stick to upgrade.

Asus adds after the comment that it supports max 16GB RAM, but I wonder if it would take a higher value 2nd stick just fine. Not going to work as dual channel, in that case, of course.
Rtings review says USB-C is Data only (Edit: As added by OP- also USB-C Charging and PD). They also report max RAM is 16GB. So who knows if it would recognize and utilize more after upgrading the 2nd stick...

Don't feel like a solid deal either. Maybe an okay deal depends on what you want. A good deal for example should be the HP Pavillion plus that I jumped on with 7840u and oled and all whistles for $479 half a year ago.
