Don't be fooled by the picture - the hands have ZERO luminosity. In all fairness, the description doesn't mention luminous hands either. Other than that, great beater watch, keeps good time. The bands are very long, probably meant to accommodate the thickest wrist possible.

Don't be fooled by the picture - the hands have ZERO luminosity. In all fairness, the description doesn't mention luminous hands either. Other than that, great beater watch, keeps good time. The bands are very long, probably meant to accommodate the thickest wrist possible.

Yes forget about lume. But this is an extremely comfortable watch and after trying a few different watches and a couple other Casio watches, this model has become the best weekend/ chilling around the house watch. It's featherlight, not too bulky, 100 m water resistant, very comfortable. On my nearly 8 inch wrist I have 3 extra holes on the watch band.

If you want some better lume get the version with white numbers, they have lume, the colored numbers versions do not. Or the one in black and gold with dot markers that are lumed but more importantly it has gold hands which are shiny and catch any ambient light.

At this price it's a great deal, can't decide which to get. And the version with white numbers and hands is $22 every day. I've only seen these posted models for $17-19 before.

I get the impression this green version will appear fake or cheap. Since this is not luminous, do you think the version with white numerals and hands looks better?

I would get the GShock DW5600 which is bullet proof and just $28 but this is definitely a slick deal for someone looking for a basic wrist watch.

I think it will look the same. The whole idea behind luminous is to be able to read the watch in the dark.

I've owned the non-lume white font model for about a decade. This is nowhere near g-shock quality. It's a cheap low end Casio watch. $15 sounds like a fair market value for it. Don't get me wrong, it's great for what it is. This is not a particularly good deal in my opinion, just a fair price.
