Why? The normal remote control can be put in the car already?
Because a potential thief could break into your car then use the garage remote to get into your house. With a keypad he'd have to figure out the code.
I don't understand your question. How would you deactivate a regular garage remote that's on the car visor? I'm saying a thief that wanted to break into your house could just smash your window, use the garage door opener to get into your house.
They are going to break into your car and then immmediately drive to your house? How do they know where you live?

How can you deactivate it if they smash your window then immediately go into your house? Yes. People are doing that. Search in YouTube

No. I don't live there and no I didn't get robbed. I was just agreeing with Ronder it would be safer to have this thing in your car rather than a regular remote if you park outside your garage regularly. Honestly, I wouldn't do it but I'd get a key fob remote on my keychain instead.
