Yeah, we get it, there are many cheaper magnetic pick-up tools out there. But are you comparing apples to apples in regards to strength and length?

Reps to anyone who can link to any other 30" long tool with 16lbs magnet for under $5.

For up to 8lbs magnetic force & 6" less reach length...
Specs on $2,99 Autozone magnet are 24" reach & "Up To" 8lbs. Apparently less than 8lbs if going against gravity according to one review...
I guess when one drops that alternator all the way down there, you would want the Amazon one 😜

I dropped my MP3 player down a sewer grate. It took some doing to retrieve. I was actually thinking about taping a refrigerator magnet to it, in the future. Then buying a circle magnet, and tying a long rope to the magnet, tonight. Just in case this happens, again. And doing the same for other valuables I own.

Why is this still active even though it's out of stock
Because you can still order it at this price. They'll ship when back in stock. I order out of stock stuff all the time from Amazon.

This one has a 16lbs magnet, the cheap one you got at Dollar Tree [dollartree.com] has a 1.5lbs magnet.

Please explain to me what you'll be using this for other than a dropped bolt, socket or racket. What is 16 pounds but small enough that you would need one of these and couldn't just grab with you hand?

Another problem you'll run into, that big ass magnet will attach to anything metal as it is such a strong magnet. Good luck getting into tough spaces without it grabbing to everything else but what you need to grab.

You don't need a 16 pound magnet nor would you want it.

It's overkill IMO

If some guy in the gym doing bench presses asks you to hand him over a 15 lbs dumbbell, this is what you'd use to hand it over to him and gain some bro respect.

I did this once. I got a pack of gum and a stick. $1 and some patience saved the day

this junk product shill keeps getting posted every few days it feels like. This is regular price at many merchants, nothing about this "deal" makes it special.

If you've got a Harbor Freight nearby, they frequently have these up on offer for free as a customer appreciation gift, and the ones they have are actually pretty decent, they work great at finding screws before your feet do.

As someone explained earlier, it's usually not so much about the size of the object that you are trying to retrieve, but how how well the magnet holds onto it. A 16lbs magnet is going to hold on a heckuva lot better than a 1.5lbs one will.

If all you need to do is pick up a little screw off the floor, then by all means go to dollar tree or your Chinese website. But by no measure will that be the same thing as what is offered in this deal.

While a Ford Maverick and an F450 are both pickup trucks, they are considerably different, as well are their price points.
