Depends on what you value, but I say "no" IMO. I'm a huge OLED fan - or maybe more accurately I'm generally just not a fan of LCD (or LED, QLED, etc… they're all LCD). With all this said, this model Samsung is very, very good. I'd still take OLED though.

This isn't a full list, but here are some tidbits:

LCD with LED backlight(s):
Brighter than OLED.
No risk of burn-in
Lower contrast
Slight blooming around bright objects on black backgrounds (this model, has mini-LED backlights)
Narrower viewing angles

OLED:
Very high contrast ("infinite")
Perfect black levels (see contrast)
Super fast response times (less motion blur)
Perfect viewing angles
Slight risk of burn-in (debatable as to how high of risk)
More stutter in panning shots due to extremely fast response times

This TV has good viewing angles as it is ADS Pro. Not OLED, but good enough in terms of viewing angles.

True, but for anyone following along don't expect plasma/OLED viewing angles. Depends on what "good enough" is for buyers. Here's an excerpt from rtings:

"The Samsung QN90C has a decent viewing angle. The image remains consistent at a moderate angle, but if you move too far off-center, colors fade, and the screen looks washed out. It's also good enough for a moderately wide seating arrangement, as you can move around the room without the image degrading. Due to the switch from VA panels to an ADS (IPS-like) panel, the 2023 QN90-Series TVs no longer feature an ultra-wide viewing angle layer."

One thing I've learned about Rtings is that when it comes to viewing angles, they are insanely critical. This TV had the one of the best wide viewing angles of any non oled last year. Is it OLED? Of course not. But on this 85 inch TV, this shouldn't be an issue for most. No problem in my 11ft wide seating area. Anyone looking at this TV is probably considering this or the 77 inch S90C for $1600+ right now for EPP members. I got this TV for $1650 delivered with Samsung Care +. Unfortunately the panel had some serious issues and blew out in 10 days. I've been reluctant to purchase it again. Don't think I can step down to 77 inches after having this and the 85X90L up on the wall for a few months. It's mostly for sports and an occasional show/movie. I have a projector setup for the other stuff. I've also installed 2 s90c 77 for friends and it is a beautiful TV. However if all you watch is cable, it's processing leaves something to be desired.

Exactly - it's "good" but not OLED good.
