While true. The problem with 28" luggage is if it's full it's easily over 50lbs. Fine for car travel I guess though. Or maybe if you're airline elite

Putting aside that weight is often the limiting factor, this is 41% larger volume than the costco one.

That is a two piece set of course, but it's more than a "little smaller"

I really wanted to like this one, even went with a family friend to costco so they could buy it, but it's more square than the traditional ones and just feels weird to me. I know this isn't a good enough reason, but sometimes it's hard to fit gifts as it is on international trips, this will limit the width even more.

Also, I know I've said this here plenty of times so sorry to sound like a broken record, but samsonite charges the buyer return shipping on eBay so know what you're getting prior to purchase.

This one is also ABS/PC, but only has the single wheel so if you're set on one of these, go with OP. But I'd still hold out for a full PC one.

I know that science isn't exactly a favorite topic on this site, but this line of luggage contains an alarming amount of lead and carcinogenic plasticizers (phthalates). Probably not the best thing to have in contact with your clothes and other items.

I'm a big fan of Quince luggage for the price. It's a bit more than this, but not by a ton, and it's also substantially higher quality overall (no crappy ABS plastic, much nicer wheels and zippers, etc)

59.1 linear inches on the exterior, so safe for the 62" requirement. I always have more of a weight issue than a space issue with checked bags
