I use in chili or augment a jarred pasta sauce and they worked ok but they would add
an additional dollar to my pot cost with an undetectable difference.

They were pretty good, but one can out of a 6 pack came with almost no tomatoes in them. Almost entirely juice. I was pissed. Probably a fluke.

I miss when amazon sold Muir Glen Organic Fire Roasted Whole Tomatoes on the cheap.

My local stores don't carry them, but I would always buy them for $15 / 6pk on amazon. Steal. But those days are gone.

I bought a number # 10 can last time. I portioned, and freezed them. They taste good for my quick spaghetti, lasagna and chili sauces.

not exactly the same deal, but your dollar tree probably has muir glen tomatoes and pasta sauce. it is ymmv thing obvs. the stores near me mostly have the marinara and mushroom pasta sauce. pasta sauce is best by november 2024. not sure on the tomatoes.

Looking now, $4.45 at my store locally, so only about a dollar cheaper... not bad though. I do enjoy Muir Glen.

I once got these for $.99/can at Grocery Outlet. Half the cans were dented, but who cares? Had I known how good these were I'd have stocked up.
