That has not been my experience at all. A battery can be replaced with a simple phone call and they will now send you a prepaid shipping label for any tools that might need to be sent in.

The only one of these subcompact tools that I have is the impact wrench. Pretty high quality and for how tiny it is, it really packs a punch.

I've never had a problem... did you not register the product for the LSA?

They replaced a 4 Ah battery for me with no questions and free shipping. My guess is you didn't register within 90-days, but that isn't the fault of RIDGID. All of my RIDGID tools have been fantastic.

The batterys are the worst of all brands. Try getting a new battery out of them from the bs lifetime warranty is impossible. I bought a ridgid to makita battery adapter. bit threw most of my ridgid in the trsh were they belong
I got a brand new 4amp after getting it wet. It was delayed but no hassle.

This deal doesn't feel all that great. They just won't add an electric ratchet ever.

Home project folks can get by without the right-angle, the mini-circular, and the light. Spend less and just get the more common stuff: drill (with hammer), impact driver, and skilsaw. Add impact wrench & full-size sawzall down the road.

Agreed. You are paying a premium for the "subcompact" part, where the extra power of their regular size tools might be more useful to Joe homeowner.

And I'm not knocking the subcompact or Ridgid tools. I bought the drilldriver and impact kit when it was $77 over the Holidays. https://slickdeals.net/f/17052817-home-depot-ridgid-18v-subcompact-brushless-2-tool-combo-kit-with-drill-driver-impact-driver-2-2-0-ah-batteries-and-charger-w-hack-77-09?v=1&src=SiteSearch

I liked it so much a bought the brushless starter kit for $215. https://slickdeals.net/f/17231938-ymmv-ridgid-18v-brushless-cordless-4-tool-combo-kit-with-1-4-0-ah-and-1-2-0-ah-max-output-batteries-18v-charger-and-tool-bag-r9225-the-home-depot-215?src=SiteSearch

Yeah that second set is a way better starter package than the one in this thread. Has a more useful drill and sawzall, and the multi-tool is a great starter item too. If that's a recurring deal then most folks should skip this one and wait for it to come back.

My 6Ah Max Output was replaced with a 6Ah Octane battery and RIDGID claimed it is the same battery. Does anyone know this is true? I don't think it's the same and why they would say that when they mention Max Output is stronger and runs longer.
