I picked one up. It's awesome, app let's me delay charging, tells me how many kwh it used, and pings me when it's done.
Wallbox is consistently rated a Top 10 (or even Top 5) EV charger.
Tom at State of Charge is a pretty good authority on EV chargers.
This is not a charger - the charger is inside your car. it's really a connector, but people are dumb and accept that they are calling these things chargers, to the pleasure of these manufactures. It definitely sounds better when you call it a "charger"
Most electric cars, including my car (ID.4) already comes with an app that tells me the state of charge and I can stop or start the charging using it. I can also set how much % I want to charge the car to.
I paid about $150 for my 40amp connector, but that was 3 years ago.
I get a little less than 10kWh using it. Electricity is cheap with my Municipal provider - it cost me less than $12 to full charge it and get about 200 miles. Definitely beats gasoline!
This is a rip off for $450! These should be less than $50 these days and the most expensive part is the cable. The longer the cable the costier it would be.

agree, these boxes shouldn't be higher than $150. with more competition, they will be.
also, i don't see the point of redundant features like, "delay charging, tells me how many kwh it used, and pings me when it's done."
your car's charging app should already do all that.
in reality, you'll schedule charging with your car anyway. why would you want to set charging schedules on your car and your EVSE?
it's like doubling the amount of tasks you have to do to charge.
They now also have NACS connector.
I've been trying to figure out a way to get the discount on the actual unit. It seems like it's only on the install price by a licensed electrician. I don't know how much that would run, especially if I'm digging the trench to the location and running the conduit. The only thing I'm going to have the electrician do is make the final connection.
My Chargepoint unit was dying a slow death and after replacing the cable about a year ago (and other issues that have been creeping up)... I decided to go with Wallbox. It's a great little unit so far. the app is pretty straightforward but I still keep my chargepoint app since it can be used to pay for charging at 3rd party stations.
