I ordered some samples from microperfumes before ordering a full bottle on a previous SD post. I've read reviews on reddit that there are better places to order samples like DecantX or Scent Split, but my experience with microperfumes was good but next time I'll probably try both DecantX or Scent Split. I've heard of similarities of GIT and Cool Water but I've never tried CW and some people say they are completely different.

Most luxury department stores like Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdale's will carry them if you want to try. Have gotten many compliments when I use Aventus.

Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man is supposedly a good dupe for Aventus but I haven't tried it.

I bought Aventus and GIT from these deals.

I wear GIT more on average as it's a more casual scent. I also commonly smell others wearing Aventus when I'm out which is not to say it's bad but it does seem significantly more popular.

Mont Blanc explorer and Dossier Musky Oakmoss are similar to Aventus. Explorer can be found for about $50 for 3.3 oz size. Dossier version is $29 right now at Walmart for 1.7 oz. I've found Dossier scents to be pretty nice. Jomashop and some other online discounters sell authentic versions of Creed for good prices, but don't have Costcos good return policy.

I have the Armaf Club De Nuit Intense, and it is outstanding. I was nervous to buy it online without smelling it first bc the price was so low, but it smells like a high-quality cologne, not like cheap cologne at all. I've never smelled Aventus, but if Aventus smells like ACDNI, it's a banger, too.

Armaf smells like lemon floor cleaner. Harsh and foul. Aventus is overplayed but still smells very good. TBH I've never smelled a dupe that is close at all. Aventus is very polarizing. Either people love it or hate it

You're spot on. I don't know why people are thumbing you down. All these clones smell harsh and synthetic. They're nowhere close to the real deal. I have tried almost all the clones and they're a waste of money. Some of them give me a headache.

I've been using Aroma Passions for some solid dupes. For Aventus and a solid price Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man is a good dupe to have. They also have coupons and sampler packs that I've used before buying.
