seems like an excellent deal.."features" section says it does type c charging, but i'm unable to confirm. q&as have official asus responses saying ram is upgradable, and 1080p webcam (not 720p as listed in "features"). 2-in-1 functionality is just a bonus!

only thing for me would be numpad (or at least have it with function keys, or hide it in the touchpad like on some asus models, plz), and dedicated page up/down keys, but even still this would be a compelling upgrade from my walmart evoo lp5, at almost exactly the same physical size. open boxes starting at $1089 for fair, but none available in my area Frown

It definitely does do usb c charging but the barrel gives 240w and allows for ASUS turbo power profile. USB c I think it's 100w pd max

Yes it does but if you don't use the official Asus charger, I suspect it won't allow turbo more or charge at the max wattage. My x13 doesn't charge at the full 100 watts and only 65 watts max if using a non-OEM charger. Looks like that's the case for the x16 as someone else also posted something similar.

I have this laptop and its been nothing short of amazing! Runs cool and doesnt throttle. Screen is amazing for an IPS (yes this is not the mini-led model, sorry). Runs everything i throw at it so far. Horizon Forbidden west with Frame Generation keeps me in the 100fps range at high as well with full 1600p resolution. Highly recommend!

Really doesn't. The rubber feet don't give quite enough elevation in laptop mode so you can adjust for better thermals but if it's actually thermal throttling, you've got a defective unit. It's thin for the power inside so it's going to run hot. All gaming laptops anywhere close to the same size/performance ratio are hot and/or noisy. The thermal solution is actually one of the best on the market. With an undervolt on the gpu and power limiting the CPU, I can get near 100% of the out of the box performance with way less fan noise in manual mode than performance or turbo (turbo is a waste with these 40xx series cards). That's in tent mode. Thermals would be in the 60s on both gpu and cpu in performance mode there which is basically unheard of. Slightly higher in manual with the fan curve dropped to minimum but the noise advantage is huge and thermals are still in the 'much better than most' range.

I don't agree. Have owned and own many other gaming laptops and I'm honestly shocked how cool this laptop stays running games for how thin it is. Also putting it in tent mode helps even more with ventilation which is a cool bonus of this being a 2-in-1
