I recently let my premium expire. 130$ was a crazy price to subscribe, and you won't even own the games. I started buying used and game deals.

Not sure which deal you're asking about, but the OP is pretty detailed in calling out what is for new members and what is for current members, I would read it and if you still have questions which detail you are confused on would help.

Does Playstation Plus ever go on sale at other times or should I jump on this 30% off? I want Extra but would be willing to wait until November if Black Friday deals have had the same offer.
i think since that last price hike there have not been any decent sales unless directly from sony since i dont even think there are physical cards sold anymore i could be wrong i have not looked as my ps plus finally expires next month. but the 30% off thing is only showing for my cuurent sub so instead of 9 i can get is for 6 or something i want the full year.

🤔 I wonder if you can buy a PS5, claim the Netflix, then return it? Lol

The way Netflix does these promos is in the form of a monthly credit rather than some promo code.
You click the link they send you and it attaches the Netflix promo to whichever account signs in with the link.

This way, if Sony wanted they could disable the monthly credit if they wanted, say if the buyer returns the console.
But this method prevents the user from getting 2 credits in a month.

Verizon+ Play has had similar promotions, bundling paramount and netflix for a lower price.

Think of it like as a credit and not a gift card.
do you have any idea if you can carry an excess credit from these promotions for example if you have a lower tier of Netflix and dont want premium?

there are no bundles at best buy or atleast that im not seeing online so i dont know what your talking about the spiderman bundle shows sold out or unavailable now maybe they have some in a store somewhere so maybe a few would get lucky. but i would rather have the year of premium netflix for free than the spiderman game not that its a bad game but its already on sale for 50 and cant get nearly as many hrs out of that game as a year of netflix will provide. so your logic is very very flawed.
What is good on Netflix in 4k?

I don't have it and am curious if there's stuff that I'd find worth watching. I had Netflix about 2 yrs ago but didn't have a good TV.

So, my interest is being able to play 4k discs and watch stuff in 4k. I played some games with my family in the past online, but won't be paying to play online once the sub runs out again at the current price of $80. I let my ps Plus sub lapse after 10+ yrs.

hmm 🤔 the way I'm reading it is; you need to be a plus member and buy a PS5 to get Netflix premium.

Depends on what you like to watch. Netflix tends to have some excellent selection at times, and then have a lull once those titles leave. But they do have some of their own titles that are always there.

Here's a good resource for seeing the higher quality content on Netflix:

A lot of Netflix published shows and movies are done in 4k and look fantastic. When it comes to third-party, it's very hit or miss. They are also not the best quality 4k available as the compression they use tends to be on the high side.

I'm holding off ordering atm. I'm hoping that folks will report back that they're seeing the Netflix offer come through, and how it's applied to their account.

Keep us updated if you don't mind.

I do and absolutely love a few of the titles. Resident evil VR graphics are great and it feels so badass racking your pistol and popping heads. Plus they released VR mode 100% free for a few games in the series if you already own the regular game.

Synth riders is like beat saber (most popular VR title ever) but even better imo.

Walkabout mini golf has tons of levels and the physics are on point.

You can get 6 free psvr2 games starting next week listed here.

https://www.roadtovr.com/psvr-day...ames-2024/

I've played most of them and it's pretty much the best starter pack you could ask for.

All that being said, it looks like sony has pretty much abandoned psvr2 and I haven't seen any more first party titles in development from them. There is rumor of PC support coming which would breath some life into it but there's nothing definitive on it.
I was on the fence about PS2VR (given Sony's lack of support) but with the free games and and the Netflix deal (essentially cutting the cost in half) am willing to take a chance. Having a PS5 with a steering wheel / pedals and GT7 VR would be a fun experience. I signed up for PS+ ($9 monthly) and ordered the HFW bundle. My first and only VR experience was the OG Oculus headset, which I was not impressed by it.

crazy how many PS5 consoles sold Sony sold yet there still cheap asses. $50 price drop 4 years later is terribe. I suggest folks wait for the PS5 pro.
Cost of materials for these consoles isn't getting cheaper. Frankly with the PS5 pro they aren't even putting in 2tb of storage for some reason, even as an upsell.
