Still beyond what most people are able take advantage of. Performance is top notch and probably will still be a relative camera in cinema for the next 5 years at least
Different uses. The pocket 6k is more for one man army, whereas this is more for a production team. I don't know if the perspective buyers would cross shop between the two, but I guess you are one
Good deal on a great camera; I've used most BM cameras, including this and the prior v1 4.6k. Free resolve for life is nice as well.

But honestly, this isn't a camera that a casual user should even sniff at. Nearly non-existent autofocus, poor light performance, & clunky ergonomics, requires vmount batteries, etc are big deals to a run & gun shooter who would much be better served with a mirrorless from sony or canon.

I'm a little miffed that I just bought the blackmagic pocket 6k on Sunday, but with buying one of these new you're gonna be stuck on a tripod near an outlet until you spend some money on accessories. No handles, no shoulder mount, no battery mount, no batteries

Better all round as long as its the right use case - professional static shoots requiring cinematic quality. This has built in ND filters, more lens options, and way more on-body controls to allow quick and accurate set up, and hardpoints to attach accessories without dealing with a cage.

So, I'm desperately in need of a full Davinci Resolve Studio license...am I crazy to think I could re-sell this for at least what I paid for it, minus the license?

Do yourself a favor, by full frame and not this. The production quality will thank you.

Just buy a USB dongle for $295. Maybe if you think you can unload this locally for cash, you *might* be able to get come out ahead. But if you are selling online, once you take into consideration fees, shipping, time, etc; just buy the dongle.
