If you're running Wifi 5, is it worth upgrading with this for the speeds alone? Only Wifi 6E has the 6 Ghz band, so for a small household, is there much benefit to stay with Wifi 6 over just getting a 6E or 7 Wifi card?

7 isn't fully adopted yet, but will be markedly faster (46G) than 6E (9.6G), which is only 2-3x faster than 5 (3.5G). With that said, I have noticed at home that 6 or 6E is faster and more stable than 5 was.

Should work fine, based on a little internet research. It's a wi-fi card with drivers...CPU and motherboard wouldn't affect that

Probably a 10%-20% increase in speeds in a real world scenario. Wifi 6 also has slightly increased range.

I wouldn't bother. With my wifi 5 access points I get 600mbs, with my wifi 6 I can get up to around 750mbs if super close to the access point.

If your speeds and signal are decent as it is, I say just hold out for a cheap Wi-Fi 7 card.

great deal, if you're looking for these don't buy the ending in 1 versions (Intel CNVio) as they use a proprietary link to intel 10th gen and up chips only. And at least some versions are hot garbage, my dell 7210 came with the 201 and it disconnected and disappeared on sleep every few days, the 210 I got to replace it has been rock solid.
