Odd spec for what claims to be a $3k bike, but at this price I think it's a solid bike

Fake MSRP in all likelihood. Pacific Cycle cheaping out BIG time on a no-name drivetrain *and* using Tektros? Nah, dogg. Probably fine for $1.3k, though.

Very odd spec. This will not be a very fun bike to pedal a lot. More of a bike for above average hits yet all the people I know that need a hike for those kind of hits aren't going to get a bike with these low end components.

I agree with all the comments. There is no way the MSRP for $3k was adequate for Tektro brakes and Microshift drivetrain. Considering the 160mm fork and GT frame, $1300 is the top price for this bike. It shouldn't be on the front page and sound like a deal. Just a beginner's bike with cheap components.

Microshift and Tektro Hydraulic are probably decent. You typically get mechanical disc brakes at this price. Both Microsift and Tektro have been around for a while, and make some reliable parts. I'm kinda of disenchanted with Shimano's pricing schemes and ready to consider alternatives. Same with SRAM. I agree $3000 is absurd sor this bike.

Just get the GT Force 29 Comp, the upgrades over this one are worth it (Shimano 12 speed 10-51t drivetrain, larger Shimano 4-piston brakes, Fox 170 front/150 rear suspension, Stans/Shimano wheelset).

This is a $2000 trail bike, that geometry is aggressive. Good deal for a beginner even vs the Polygons but yeah the other GT on sale is an even better deal.

This ^^^^^^. Way better spec for $500 more. Not much need to upgrade stuff on that model (until shit breaks).

Man polygons via bikes online before they started charging tax and shipping were great deals
