What conclusion did you come to? I'm trying to figure out what I want, seems like the Sony XM and Bose QC (ultra) are the top two picks for most

I never considered the Sonys because the earcups are way too shallow for my ears. I did buy a pair of Ultras and they were fantastic, however, i already own a pair of QC 35iis and eventually I returned the Ultras after 2 weeks of use. They were fantastic though, but I personally didn't find the upgrade worthy

If these Momentums didn't have so many problems, I'd definitely have it as my main headphones because the sound signature is super clean and is what I like. With all the potential issues though, it probably wouldnt be a long term pair of headphones
