FYI, Syncolon is powdered PTFE, so if you're skittish about nonstick cookware you should probably avoid treating this as food-grade.

Plumbers grease isn't dielectric or food grade.

You can use this around electronics and it won't cause shorts.

For instance, if you have a game controller where the analog sticks are starting to drift, you can hit them with contact cleaner and then pack them with this.

To be considered food safe it has to be safe for incidental contact with food, not straight edible. That said eating straight PTFE won't hurt you either.

Oddly enough I love this stuff! Buy one tube and it might last your for life.. I've had the same one for years now and have used it to fix, assemble and install many things over the years from guitar pedals to cabinet fixtures. I still haven't made much of a dent in this tube..

This stuff works well for lots of things. Example I use a thin layer on the tracks of my house windows and it slides with way less effort and doesn't leave a nasty chemical smell.

I bought this grease years ago and have served me extremely well for many applications. I apply it to everything threaded aluminum or steel, faucets, silicone seals and gaskets…

This and ballistol basically covers everything that needs lubing

Decent price for the size, but the larger containers are still a better deal, if you need that much. The 14.1oz containers are around $17 at the moment. That's around $3.62 / 3oz., or about half as much as the 3oz tube at $7.

They're not exactly the same, but have nearly the same ratings (NSF-H1 incidental food safe, dielectric, etc.) The larger container is 'translucent white' instead of clear.
