"Premium" yet has ads? Someone explain this to me. Makes absolutely no sense to call something premium if it has ads. Maybe I'm just old.

Not trying to TC here, but I'll just throw this out there:

I have an email address that's pretty simple (first name, last initial) at a free email provider. I almost *never* give that out other than to "real people" in an attempt to keep it spam-free.

Unfortunately some people seem to think it's theirs or just get lazy and use it for free online signups.

One day, someone in Nebraska (Peacock told me where the device was signed in from) decides to use it to sign up for the free tier of Peacock. Not a huge deal as things like this have happened before (although it's annoying when companies do not require any sort of email verification.) I figure I'll just delete the account. (Use email to log in and then delete - simple enough.)

Unfortunately, Peacock isn't that simple.

If you ever want to delete your account (and the data associated with it) you literally have to submit an Individual Rights Request with NBCUniversal. Short version: it took an hour of my time and then perhaps a 2 or 3 week wait for it to be completed.

This probably isn't a huge deal to most, but if it is something you care about, just be aware before going in.

Perfect timing. I believe they offered this deal last year at this time. I am coming off that deal on May 30th. I will wait a week or so and re-sub. Thanks OP!

Premium plus tier is without ads. Some content like specific sport events will always have ads because that's how the contracts are made.

I'll be the first to admit it, I didn't think Peacock was gonna be something I get when it was announced... But I've had it for almost 3 years now and it's probably my favorite streaming service, as it has all the comedy shows that I love. The office (Extended Edition episodes with cut scenes), Modern Family, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99, George Lopez, Everybody Loves Raymond. They have NFL Sunday Night Football games, and all PPV matches for WWE plus pretty cool documentaries. I honestly Recommend peacock to everyone. It's kinda my go to streaming service for when i get food and just wanna watch something and enjoy my meal.

I thought you were joking, but it's right there on the main page (PPP). Or in this case, Peacock Premium Plus Pre-Paid (PPPPP)?

To watch Peacock without ads* or download select shows and movies to watch offline on your mobile device, upgrade to Peacock Premium Plus.

*Please note: due to streaming rights, a small amount of programming will still contain ads

Peacock was on a roll last year with original ocntent like Mrs. Davis and Poker Face, but they've doubled down on reality teevee trash and smell desperate. Still subbed for another year, expecting new seasons of the good stuff. Under two bucks a month is nothing.

Be sure to cancel right away, which keeps active for the full year anyway.

It has original shows we liked, like Ted (the series), Bupkis, The Traitors (The Traitors has versions for the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand). Ted, Bupkis and The Traitors are probably our favs, but also good are: The Resort, Mrs. Davis, Everything I know about Love, Lady Parts, Apples Never Fall, Rutherford Falls, and probably others I'm forgetting.

I also watch some Bravo shows on there (after-shows for Bravo series, like Summer House, as well as the actual series, which I usually watch on youtubetv the night shows air, then watch the aftershow the next day on Peacock - trash tv, but it's fun to me and a good reason to get Peacock if you like Bravo shows).

Also movies like Oppenheimer, which they were the first to get it as part of a paid streaming package (as in, included in package rather than a rental).

We pay the extra $5 a month for ad-free.
