"Premium" yet has ads? Someone explain this to me. Makes absolutely no sense to call something premium if it has ads. Maybe I'm just old.

Not trying to TC here, but I'll just throw this out there:

I have an email address that's pretty simple (first name, last initial) at a free email provider. I almost *never* give that out other than to "real people" in an attempt to keep it spam-free.

Unfortunately some people seem to think it's theirs or just get lazy and use it for free online signups.

One day, someone in Nebraska (Peacock told me where the device was signed in from) decides to use it to sign up for the free tier of Peacock. Not a huge deal as things like this have happened before (although it's annoying when companies do not require any sort of email verification.) I figure I'll just delete the account. (Use email to log in and then delete - simple enough.)

Unfortunately, Peacock isn't that simple.

If you ever want to delete your account (and the data associated with it) you literally have to submit an Individual Rights Request with NBCUniversal. Short version: it took an hour of my time and then perhaps a 2 or 3 week wait for it to be completed.

This probably isn't a huge deal to most, but if it is something you care about, just be aware before going in.

They shouldn't be calling it "premium" if it has ads. It's misleading...

I'll be the first to admit it, I didn't think Peacock was gonna be something I get when it was announced... But I've had it for almost 3 years now and it's probably my favorite streaming service, as it has all the comedy shows that I love. The office (Extended Edition episodes with cut scenes), Modern Family, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99, George Lopez, Everybody Loves Raymond. They have NFL Sunday Night Football games, and all PPV matches for WWE plus pretty cool documentaries. I honestly Recommend peacock to everyone. It's kinda my go to streaming service for when i get food and just wanna watch something and enjoy my meal.
Many of those shows are on Netflix now. I am currently watching Brooklyn 99 for the 3rd or 4th time. There appears to be a lot of NBC stuff there now. (obviously if you don't have Netflix it is irrelevant - I got mine through another promo)

The Continental is pretty good. The hotel from John Wick. 1970s era !

Not if you know there is or maybe was a free tier with limited access to material.

Worth it for Premier League and Big Ten events over the next year.

When Peacock first launched, there was a free tier, which allowed you to watch some of the content by just giving them your email address. The free tier was later dropped, but the other tiers weren't renamed.

I subscribed, but with hesitation. There's really not much for me on peacock. One decent new movie every couple months, I might watch the olympics some. I barely used this when I had it free from Xfinity.
