reminder that KF models do not have integrated graphics - you MUST use a discrete GPU, regardless of what connectors are on your motherboard.

Right. Note the KFs also can run overclocked slightly cooler than one with integrated graphics.

This isn't it, chief. Recently purchased an i7 12700k via Newegg for $159. Nearly half the price, and only about a 10% difference in performance.
Heck of a deal. Was that posted not that I need it? Will run my 12700K until the 14700K get that price.

If OS's and apps start to utilize NPUs in an effective way, I imagine we will see steep discounts on any of the existing desktop CPUs. It is not clear when there will be a CPU for custom builds that includes an NPU, maybe next year?

I was thinking to upgrade my PC but will surely wait for 15th gen Intel release now as there are rumors that it may include NPU and also see what AMD is doing.

I do not think that is true.

There was a slight difference noted in some overclock capabilities on some Intel KF vs K chips (1-3%), but that is due to the KS variant siphoning off the winners of the silicon lottery to a different SKU.

The 13700K does not have a KS variant and will not see this difference. The iGPU can also be turned off if you think it is making a difference, so It is really only a net loss to have the F/KF variant.

If anything based off Igor's Lab's sample of several crates of 13900Ks vs 13900KFs, there's a slight positive silicon lottery lean towards the KF variant. That alone could account for the tendency to run the same clocks at lower voltages. You could probably extrapolate that to the 13700KF but ultimately it's still up to the silicon lottery… has little to no difference iGPU vs no-iGPU and more to do V/F curves.

There is a 13900KS which are just binned 13900K models, which leave the "lower" binned 13900K chips to compare to all of the 13900KF.

As mentioned there is no 13700KS so you will not see this same slight performance difference from the binning to make an "S" SKU.

All CPUs have individual V/F curves no 2 CPUs have the same V/F curves. I've bought several 13900K CPUs and RMAed one also, I took photos of the V/F curves in the BIOS. They're all different, some are wildly THAT much better than the others. The 12/13/14-900KS SKU just guarantees the bin is at least above average. Some standard K samples can still beat an average KS SKU by a wide margin if you're lucky. If you have an Asus motherboard, you can also look at their SP score for fun but ultimately the V/F curve is the real indicator.

On the overclocking forums, people have gotten 13900KS samples that are worse than their 13900K.

Not sure how that changes that binning for higher performance SKU (KS) will change the average of the lower SKU (K).
Outliers will exist, but the average changes which is why K vs KF may have a slight edge to the KF WHEN a KS processor exists.
