This is one of the best Knipex tools I own as a homeowner. At this price I'm considering a second one because I love it so much. I don't use it daily at home, obviously, but get so much satisfaction using it and that makes it worth the splurge for me.

Looks to be the lowest by $5 in 2 years. I bit the bullet. Now I need an 80% off deal on their self adjusting crimpers.

That's wild. Do you have any pics of the fake one? How authentic did it look?

I have this and the much cheaper Milwaukee that looks similar. Both are amazing tools and probably my two most used pliers for residential electrical work. The Knipex blades are more durable, but the Milwaukee is still absolutely worth getting and will be fine for homeowners. If using for work regularly, get this Knipex.

I would not buy it from that seller, but from Amazon for $1ish more.

I have both also. Knipex seems to cut & strip just a hair easier, and the screw cutters don't require you to painstakingly thread the screw in to cut it... but the Milwaukees are still perfectly serviceable.

Curious minds want to know. I have some knipex tools that have some interesting rust/pitting even though they were oiled on day one and stored in a reasonably climate controlled garage.

I've definitely stripped stranded 10awg with these and they work perfect

I happened to have some stranded #10 THHN and these pliers sitting next to me so I tried it. The Knipex only has a slot for solid #10, it's smaller than what's needed for stranded #10. It cut a few of the strands when I closed the pliers all the way. You could use it if you are careful and don't close all the way, but it's definitely not the correct size slot.
