Bought this 6 months or so back at this price...marked down at my local HD.
The cats paw works fine and so does the nail rocker. The place where the nail rocker really shines is when you are pulling longer nails (3" or more) that you will likely struggle with using a claw. Too many times I've had to use a 1by or 2by block to get enough reach and/or leverage to pull those longer nails the rest of the way out with a hammer. The nail rocker on this grabs the nail at the base by the wood and allows you to more easily pull'em out..
Well worth the price in my experience.

Just got it. Love it. If you use it right, esp. w/ the rocker on long nails, then it's great! Don't listen to all the naysayers who don't own it and are just philosophically giving you their opinion.

This. ☝🏿

People need to understand this isn't just a vertically oriented cat's paw. It pinches the shaft of the nail, and you can pull a nail out with very little room around the sides as well. Further, if the nail head is gone, it makes no difference with this tool.

Nobody is saying never use a hammer claw or cat's paw again for as long as you live. But this is a good, fast "general purpose" puller with some unique capabilities of its own.

Bought this thing and it stinks and makes your hands stink too. Smells like a sponge that's been used to deep clean metal

Got my pick up notification… the wife is out with the girls … I'll sneak in… . check out the other deals…. then have the counter girl sniff if it stinks …then decide to keep or not… while paying for the other deals…. sneak back home …stuff the stuff … then pretend I've been napping all day….
Yeah okay sure but.. "then have the counter girl sniff if it stinks" -That's a weird and kind of demanding thing, I don't think I would EVER in any situation want to smell something when someone says "Smell this", you're forcing her to either do that or come up with some response to that. Maybe I'm just weird myself and regular people wouldn't think it's that big of a deal but to me that's just weird and demanding
