According to some reviewers, this is a good mechanical keyboard for gaming, but it has some flaws.

Its analog switches could be incompatible or buggy with various games, your mouse, &/or your game controller.

Its latency is higher than the Huntsman V2 regular (without the analog switches), especially if Razer Synapse software is running in the background. The Huntsman V2 regular has a latency of ~0.9 ms, but the Huntsman V2 analog has a latency of 3.3 ms without Razer Synapse 3 running in the background, & the Huntsman V2 analog has a latency of ~7.3 ms with Razer Synapse 3 running in the background.

I think the Huntsman V2 regular is better than the Huntsman V2 analog, but the V2 regular with a full size keyboard never has a good discount (based on my experience). I've seen good discounts for the V2 regular with the smaller keyboards (e.g., TKL), but I prefer a full size keyboard.

Mine died as well. Now on work calls it will randomly crank or mute the volume. I've taken it apart and cleaned it and it works for a while longer then does again. These wheels are handy but Razer's version sucks.

I have the keyboard and I want to get rid of it (switched from a blackwidow elite I think?)

- The software still blows, even with Razer Synapse Beta. On Razer Synapse Beta as well, you can't use any custom functions saved on the keyboard because of a bug. May be fixed now.
- The media knob is absolutely horrendous. My Logitech G Pro X TKL's media knob never fails but the media knob on the huntsman v2 analog keeps needing to be cleaned for it to work perfectly. I'm hoping to get the Blackwidow V4 Pro which has the same media knob as the Logitech.
- You can't enable "typing profile" by default and have a game profile as secondary which is silly
- The analog function messes up and hijack some games when you want to use a controller. Some recent examples are Wanted: Dead and Hi-Fi Rush. The only way to fix it is by disabling the drivers, which I believe forces you to restart the PC (I may be wrong about this since you may only need to disable one of the drivers, not both), and then you can play the game with a controller. Setting my xbox controller as the primary controller didn't even fix it, disabling it and being unable to use the analog function is.
- The analog function in my eyes for the games I play are pretty much useless since it just emulates a controller. The game has to support simultaneous controller and keyboard + mouse inputs without messing up, which is very few of the games I have tried this with so I just stopped bothering with the analog function.
- The cables are non-detachable and very stiff. You have two of them since it supports passthrough but if you don't want to use passthrough, you still have two stiff cables.

But I mean it types fine as a keyboard. I have yellow (linear) switches. Green is clicky tactile, orange is silent tactile I believe. Wrist rest is nice. RGB is solid if you're into that. rtings likes it as a keyboard - https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/r...-v2-analog

I had a similar one and the experience with their support after multiple switches failed in 4 months was beyond frustrating. I had to film myself doing everything multiple times because they kept rotating reps. Eventually got a replacement and they covered shipping but it took 5+ hours of time

lol that media knob is a piece of garbage that fails rapidly on the keyboards that use this design. I love the idea of a knob, razer made a sloppy one here across several of their keyboards.

For $80 this is a great deal. I've been using the Razer Huntsman V2 - Linear Optical Switch - US since 2021 and love it. Picked this one up for my son to replace his original Razer Blackwidow v1.
