60 hz?
It's not a gaming laptop lol and that would make the price even higher. Just a better business/Corp level laptop

It's not for gaming alone. 120hz is better even for productivity or creative work. Waay smoother. Once you go high refresh, 60 hz would seem outdated

Has anyone here bought certified refurbished laptops from Lenovo before? I'm guessing they're customer returns, but wondering what kind of condition do they usually come in (undistinguishable from new?).

I've bought several laptops from the Lenovo Outlet before -- they've always looked like new, so my guess is that most are indeed customer returns or cancelled custom builds, and not customer end-of-life/lease returns (i.e. used for 1-2 years, etc.). Or maybe discontinued models, in some cases?

Previously when they've shipped directly from Lenovo and you get a device serial number in your confirmation, you can do a warranty lookup immediately (before shipment, when the warranty status "resets" to your purchase date) and see what its "previous life" was -- they've usually showed as being built/activated within 2-3 months for me. In one or two instances, the warranty was never reset to the standard Outlet one-year warranty and I got a free "extended" warranty that presumably the corporate customer previously bought...

Out of maybe 7-8 purchases, I had only one that had a minor issue on arrival, and I was able to return easily (Outlet doesn't allow exchanges AFAIK, since they are limited stock). That said, I'm usually buying "last-generation" models from the Outlet (like these, where they have multiple units for sale, rather than an older-generation model that may only have 1 or 2 in stock) -- so that could be why I've had good experiences.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm actually not that interested in the 64GB OLED model mentioned in this thread, but more in the 32GB IPS P14s model instead that's $782.

64 GB of ram!

I'd hop on this if the screen rate was a bit higher.
Supposedly this is 90hz downclocked to 60. Using CRU, you can overclock it to 90hz. Linux users have reported it defaults to 90hz

Few questions that are missing on the product description:

1. Does this product come with a 65w charger or a 100w charger? I see lenovo offers 100w charger for no extra cost when buying from their website?
2. Does this product have a Finger print reader, SD card reader and NFC?
3. Will the product come in original box packing of Thinkpad or does it ship in generic box?
4. Is it possible to get real pictures of the actual product condition?

Shouldn't be too different. The new gen is just this gen but improved NPU from 10 TOPS to 16 TOPS (which is still not much, considering Microsoft requires 40 TOPS to use the new AI features).
Sounds completely artificial.
