I've had great results, but it seems to depend on a number of things -

First, SteamVR games run off your computer so you need something specced well enough to handle those

Aside from that, I've been able to run stuff like Half Life Alyx and other games without any issues. My setup is fully wireless (PC connected wirelessly to router (10 feet away) and quest 3 connected wirelessly to router (10 feet away) and haven't had issues. At my old apartment that was built in the 50s, even a wired PC gave me issues as the router had trouble getting through single walls.

If you have a modern/Wifi 6 router, have your PC hardwired for ethernet, and keep the quest somewhat close to the router, you should be good. Sometimes you can get away with less (like me, fully wireless and no issues), other times you might need to hardwire your PC to ethernet and be super close to your router. YMMV.

Either way, you can also USB connect the headset instead if you prefer.

For wireless streaming, theres a free Meta Quest airlink software, free SteamVR software, and paid VirtualDesktop software. For most, VirtualDesktop works best.. for some people SteamVR or Airlink works better, so try them all out and see what works for you. If you do end up buying virtualdesktop (or anything else on quest) you can always instant-refund it if it isn't meeting your needs (provided you play it less than 2 weeks/2 hours)

Just bought in Nashua, NH. Plenty left.

Use the link below to check local stock. Should show as $462.97 if it's OP's price in store.

Is the quest 3 worth it if you already have the 2? I've seen a bunch of back and forth on it.
For me it was night and day difference. Everything runs smoother, looks better, and the full color passthrough is amazing. For the full price no it's not worth it but if you can snag this bundle it's absolutely worth it coming from the 2.

Depends on how much you use and love your Quest 2 and VR gaming . I also own a Quest 2. I don't use it much these days. It's fun to use every once in a while but I have yet to find/play a VR game that will keep me playing for more than 30min-1hr at a time. That's including games on the PSVR1, which I also own.

A buddy of mine owns a Quest 3 so I've played it several times. Gotta admit, the augmented reality aspect of it is pretty damn cool and how some games utilize it. But again, once the novelty wears off, will I still be playing this regularly? Probably not. Most VR games are more like tech demos or games designed to be enjoyed for about 20-30 min at a time..

Just my opinion of course.

Nope, closer to 2k.

A little more than double 1080p, a little more than half of 4k based on number of pixels.
Isn't this a little over 4k based on number of pixels considering it is a little over 2k per eye? I might be mathing wrong.

4K = 3840 * 2160 = 8,294,400
Quest 3 = (2064 * 2208) * 2 = 9,114,624

100% agree! I bought it at $600 and returned it as I couldn't justify the cost/usage ratio.

I got it again for less than $400 so the ratio is way more reasonable now.

I'm sorry but I meant I used this link https://sameday.costco.com/store/...dc0a1eba24 [costco.com] how would I use it? I meant I didn't see an option to use instacart gift cards there.
It is on the last checkout screen with payment. There you can enter promo codes or instacard gift cards on the right hand side if i remember correctly.

Thank you for the heads up. Bought two $100 Instacart gift cards from Costco for $160. Applied the gift cards to the order and was able to have it delivered.
One Costco account can only buy 2 Instacart gift cards. Does Instacart accept 4 $100 gift cards for this order? If yes, I would ask friends buy 2 GC for me, so I will have 4 GC totally. Is this feasible? Anyone has tried it?

Went to my warehouse and they still had plenty from what I could see. I had tested this at BB earlier and didn't think it warranted an upgrade vs the quest 2. I think overall it is a mild upgrade but one thing I've found is that it's def more comfortable to wear longer periods because of the weight distribution being closer to your face.

Overall not necessary if you have a quest 2, but it's not bad at this price if you need another headset at home for multiple people.

Went to the warehouse, it has plenty of. I plan to order it online with Instacart gift cards. But after I got one card, they removed all of them from shelf, and Instacart showed unavailable immediately. So, paid it, then go… 😂

This is the way.

It's worth mentioning that if you use Costco SameDay, do not add the gift cards to your regular Instacart account. You'll want to add them during the SameDay checkout flow.

Good deal.

For my use which is exclusively Beat Saber, my Quest 2 is still doing fantastic so I'm not touching this Quest 3 yet, but for most people I definitely recommend the Quest 3. Great VR and mixed reality, full color pass through.

YMMV
Check Instacart before hand, it's listed as 412.97 in my area, combo that with the Costco - Instacart gift cards of $200 for 159.98.
Totals to $372.97
