good deal but looks like the cards are physically mailed to you (instead of email keys)...gonna pass, as i've had issues with counterfeit cards before (from target)
Exactly! I had an issue with one of my cards ordered from them. They gave me grief but I was eventually refunded the money. Never again! I'll only get cards from Costco or e-gift cards from now on.
I've purchased hundreds of gift cards from the Exchange. I've never had a problem with the cards. They ship quickly and I always receive my cards within a few days. Usually shipped out of VA or TX.
It's there really a problem with scam cards? I thought the codes were activated upon sale, and the code is scratch off, or a scratch off pin.
Random number generators are constantly trying the codes non-stop. If you redeem them right away you'll be *safer* as it gives less time for your exact code to pop up and be redeemed by the generator, but the longer you wait the more likely it is to be drained before you use it.
There's also a bigger problem at physical stores, where the cards are taken, opened up to reveal the codes, and then resealed to look just like new, and placed back on the shelf. After that, it's the same idea as the above, but obviously they use the exact codes as they already know them, and just keep trying them until someone purchases and adds funds to the card.

So how this works is that someone goes into lets say a target store, grabs tons of unactivated gift cards and walks out. At home they use delicate tools to gently reveal the gift card number and pin, then reseal everything to make it look untampered with. They put all the codes into script, creating a bot that periodically tries to redeem the gift card from the database of codes the criminal has collected. In the meantime they go back to target and put all those now tampered gift cards back on the shelves for unsuspecting customers to buy them, and then that bot that's been running all this time finally redeems the code to the criminal's account.
