Anyone compare both the CORE and IMPACT balls? I have the original CORE ones and like them. These look to be softer?
I've used core pickleballs recently and they seem to be as hard as in the past. Haven't read anything about any physical changes to them… My only issue is the color is not overly bright, if I remember correctly. I think impact yellow is the color of the balls but I may be wrong

I actually found that they ARE different from the actual core balls:
-medium speed vs fast speed.
-Same weight
-durable vs ultra durable
-grainy vs shiny surface
-33.28 vs 31.73 rebound

The CORE ones are harder and better for cold weather. Closer to a dura ball.
The impact ones are very similar to Franklin X40s. Basically play the same.

anyone elses courts biased towards the z40 or limegreen pickleballs? i feel like the yellow ones get a bad vibe.
People want consistency. If every game you play has a different ball that's tough to adjust to each time. It can already be a problem with worn vs brand new X40s. 95% of the games I play use the X40
As a competitive PB player and coach, these balls have served me well for drilling, ball machine, and camps/clinics. When we have competitive play, I carry a few competition balls (X40s, S1 Pro, Vulcan, Owl, etc.) in my bag. It helps to have different balls around to also show players differences. I wouldn't use these in rec play.
