Used prices for F vs. non-F are always 25-50% lower, so resale sucks on F. I guess it's a combo of lower availability of non-F plus higher demand.

But according to Passmark the i3 is 14,632 multi core score and the 9900k is 18,311
Also this site shows cinebench multi core the 9900k still dominate over the i3

But the single core performance, energy efficiency at which the i3 can do what it can do is really impressive.
But the i3 is only a 4 core. A very speedy 4 core but there's many applications and games where 4 cores will bottleneck like crazy. Beamng Drive for example will want to see at minimum 6-8 cores because those cores and threads are what powers all the cars on the screen. So in multi player or against ai with other cars, it would struggle in that game.
So it depends on the game too
