I have the hedge attachment for the power head, and prefer the handheld hedger for the things I can reach.

Ditto. Just did a lot of pruning yesterday with both tools, and the weight and ergonomics on the handheld trimmer are so much better.

This appears to be the new regular price as I picked this up last month from Amazon at this price. Lowes had it for the same price but I get 5% CB at Amazon and didn't have to drive.

This thing is a monster. Cuts really well. I use it for trail work in Southern California and have no complaints. The included battery will give you over one hour of run time at full power. Fantastic tool.

I believe I paid $200 as well. If you're thinking about getting a hedge trimmer, this is the one to get. This has some heft to it, even with the carbon fiber rail. I can't imagine how much heavier the non-carbon fiber version would be.

check the weight and size. and your eco system. Since I have a lot of other EGO tools, I go with EGO. Just received mine yesterday. I trimmed 8 busheswithin 1 hour. very powelful efficient tool. battery still shows 3 out of 4 bars.

Ordered & the box came with a huge hole in it. Opened it up & the battery wouldn't charge. Been waiting for a replacement battery for a week & a half, already.

I would go with Amazon return instead of manufacturer. If you have prime shipping, that should only take a couple of days

My experience is that Amazon is having EGo ship these as my order was through Amazon as the seller but was not considered Prime and it took over a week to arrive.
