My son has only ever eaten no sugar added. He's 11. If you start kids out on something, then that is what they will prefer. If a parent gives the sugary versions, then yeah, they will want that.

I can get 6 packs of these (not this brand, but of unsweetened apple sauce) for 1.25. I was hoping this would beat that

You're Wrong! I have a Dollar Tree across the street and I just went there. Their brand is called "Applesnax" no sugar added 4-4oz (113g) is a 4 PACK $1.25 or $0.078 per Oz. I just order posted deal and I've got 72pack - 3.9oz or $0.055 Per OZ

Don't tell my kids that. At the rate they go through these I'm not sure the 7 week S&S interval I set will be frequent enough.
