I have this, and it's been crazy reliable for a year and a half. Cleaned it about 3 times since then. Probably should do it more often, but no issues whatsoever. (Used about 3 times a day). Also I don't see any reasons whatsoever to go for more expensive models. Additional features are at best "nice to have"
I have both in two different homes. Both have lived for more than 3 years by now. Phillips is more watered down in general even at highest concentration but much more consistent coffee and much easier to clean and there is no brew mechanism to remove and wash. Just a tablet every so often and you are done. Delonghi has a better espresso cup (large coffee is probably same and personal flavor) but when making coffee you are limited with one cup at a time and you have to push a button again to fill a mug while the Phillips allows 2 cups together. Minor things but life changing when you have both.
In short I prefer the ease of the Phillips menus and ease to clean but the texture of the delonghi espresso (not the large coffee).
Love mine. Going on 3 years I think. I did the math out and it pays for itself vs a $150 Keurig in like a year. Plus you get better coffee in the process. Cleaning is very simple. I rinse the brew unit over 1-2 weeks in the sink and leave it out overnight to dry. Did the descale once and almost no scale (great municipal tap water plus a high quality filter at my sink). I'm guessing we have run 2,500 drinks through this since I usually do a latte plus a coffee just to fill up my mug.
I also have a breville barista pro which I never use - better espresso but I don't have the time with 3 kids plus I make my wife a drink each morning is so much easier pressing a few buttons

If you like espresso based drinks it's a no brainer
agreed, you would need very little brain function to believe this was capable of crafting espresso

Superautos aren't for snobs.

Superautos make much better coffee than 99% of people have at home. They're cheap to run, durable, and make fun delicious drinks with almost zero effort.

Snobs who diddle over daddy James Hoffman and want to handcraft espresso for 10 minutes on a $3000 machine can indeed make better espresso. To each their own.
I have both, this machine and a Breville automatic. Time savings when making an espresso are minimal, it's mostly milk-based drinks that take longer to make with an automatic.

This is one of the best fully automatic machines. We have had for 2 years got it prime day, clean it thoroughly about once a month or so.. it's solidly reliable.

For beans, prefer La Colombe Nizza coffee, one of our favorite beans. Also the Lavazza Gran Crema.

I bought at 599 last July and thought it was a deal. Still think it's a great buy and at 450, i would jump on it.

I would buy at Amazon but it's OOS. Crate & Barrel says no return, sale is final so if you get a bad unit, you're SOL. I see some bad reviews with their units leaking or not powering on

FYI I just bought one from Crate & Barrel and the availability date on my order confirmation email says "Backordered" so I'm not optimistic this order will be filled.

This a great price -- I purchased my 3200 last cyber Monday (11/29) for $549.
Someone in another thread posted that they were able to snag one on prime-day for $327; https://imgur.com/a/bswuiNy

I've posted my opinion on this machine multiple times and it's grown on me a lot -- I work from home and use it every day and I love it - it's definitely paid for itself at this point..
The only flaw is the bean hopper -- it doesn't do good job of feeding the beans to the grinder or alerting when it needs to be refilled. That aside, there are some annoyances that I've previously posted about -- but they're somewhat logical.

I have the 5400 version of this I paid $835 at William-Sonoma. Most important thing is that my wife LOVES it. We had a Keurig and Nespresso and they are now on the emergency use only shelf if the Philips dies. We bought a 5400 but it did not work right...weak coffee and watery pucks. I gave it some time as I had read about "break in period"...not true! We returned it and got another one and this one worked perfectly out of the box...no break in. I still use Aeropress for regular coffee and the "Cafe Crema" setting on mine when in more of a hurry. Also, since we like stronger coffee, I've been mixing in half dark roast (Major Dickason's) and half med Lavazza...no issues. Bonus...no K-Cup environmental waste.
