I have one of these that I bought to replace my original Nest Hello doorbell. Here are some random thoughts after using it for about 10 months:
  • Video quality is good. It takes an annoying amount of time to load the video. I've often missed the person on the front step by the time I've opened the app and loaded the video.
  • Aspect ratio is different than all other Wyze cameras (4:3 vs 16:9 of other cams) so the preview is pillarboxed in a weird way in the app that doesn't feel well thought out.
  • SD card storage is nice (like other Wyze cams) 24/7 local recording without paying for cloud storage is a big reason I stick with Wyze. However the SD slot is on the right side of the doorbell, covered with a rubber gasket/door. It would be trivial for a nefarious individual to simply pop-out the SD card, no tools required. I covered mine with a piece of electrical tape to at least make it a little harder to find/access.
Overall it's a good deal for the price and I prefer having all my cameras in one app. But unless you're already in the ecosystem, there are definitely better options out there.

Great review. I have wyze and ring. I'm debating getting a wyze or a ring doorbell
