You realize a person can like something for themselves and it doesn't have to be compared to games from a TOP 5 list? Saying his standards are low seems like an old school Kotaku comment forum type response to try to insult and stir someone up.

I don't think he has low standards, I think he has different standards.

Example I personally don't think Final Fantasy 7 is a top 5 Japanese RPG of all time on a personal level, and many people would agree with me. Some even say that if you were a FF7 fan you were a bandwagon rpg fan who joined because of the PS hype, which I don't agree with. Doesn't mean anyone is right, it's just personal preference. Different strokes and all.
Such a great game. I think it's my second favorite metroidvania after Hollow Knight. A steal at this price!

Absolutely loved this game. As a fan of Hollow Knight, SOTN, and the old 2d Metroids this game has a lot of great challenges and really fun combat. It really takes a lot from Hollow Knight in the sense of Charms and Path of Pain type challenges so if Hollow Knight was your thing then this one is awesome (though unlike Hollow Knight the protagonist does talk)

Someone has low standards when it comes to Metroidvanias... Metroid Dread, Blasphemous, Ori one and two are all better. It's a solid game but no where near top 5 level.

Sadly I can. Single player game, saturated market, it will probably be a free game on Epic in a year. Same as other great under the radar games like Immortal Fenyx Rising.

Ubisoft hurts themselves too by discounting so quickly across the board on all their titles. I have been very excited about this game and have not bought it yet because Ubi has a reputation for discounting quickly. I paid the full $60 for Dread and was happy to. And paid for Bloodstained. Honestly, if I knew it would perpetually be $60, I probably would have bought Prince of Persia day one.

Anyway, I'm a digital Switch gamer, so I'm waiting until $20-25 digitally. But $25 for the physical is a snag for this caliber of a game (at least from what I've heard.)

How difficult is this game? Simple/short enough to enjoy on switch while traveling?
Thanks for any help!

It's above average difficulty for the extras and some of the main line story line bosses, but there is an option to make it is VERY easy for those wanting to cruise through the game but still enjoy it.

It doesn't penalize you for making it easier, and you can even customize more finer details like how much damage enemies do or how much Astra (think of it as super meter from Street Fighter) that you use/produce. The developers do have presets but you can adjust them without penatly. There's even an option to skip difficult platforming sections, and trust me they can get pretty crazy. There is one area where you have to basically grab 3 bells while wall jumping, and using abilities that is pretty tough to do but very optional.

It's a great switch game, though I played it on pc with a ps5 controller because it does look better at run faster on more current hardware.

Hi, I have a 12 and 7 year old kids. I can see this game is marked suitable for teens. Any recommendations for this age level Nintendo games? Looking for something for kiddos over summer vacation.

PS: They already have usual favorites like Mariokart, Odyssey, Bowser's fury.

This is very kid friendly. No blood or cuss words. Just normal action combat.
