Walmart has already dropped their price on the 235s and they will probably drop the 245s. Buying on Amazon is just silly.

Amazon might be better for those who change their own tires or would rather use a local shop to install. I personally haven't had any issues with Walmart on tire installs, but I can certainly see why people might avoid using them.

I can't imagine many people on here change their own tires on a normal vehicle. You'd need a way to balance them, even if you could get the bead set. And if you have a way to mount and balance tires, you probably already have a wholesale account. And Walmart is definitely a YMMV situation on the installers. Plus, I get free road hazard with Walmart+ Wink

We've been buying tires from walmart.com and taking them to discount tire to install them. Discount tire will also install tires from tire rack or any other online source and they do balance the tires. put your tire size into walmart.com you may be amazed how inexpensive you can buy their tires if you're not particular about a certain brand.

Discount Tire has a great price match system. Just give them the link and they will pricematch walmart.com

I heard Walmart sells branded tires cheaper because they are manufactured by using cheap or recycled materials just for Walmart/Sam's club, and they don't last more than 25k-30k miles on normal driving conditions. Same thing with Amazon.

and that's why "it's something you heard" load of bs

I did this on a black Friday tire sale, only ended up getting three so I had to buy the 4th at full price, a lot of hassle but saved a bunch doing it

FYI, regarding Tire Rack - Discount Tire owns them.

Yeah. Rolling the dice there.

I've had a good experience having tires shipped to and installed at my local Pep Boys. It really depends on whose working there - read the Google reviews of your local shops.

Jesus actually told me too. It's also in the Bible. Michelin 10:15
