If you want this solely for gaming better get another laptop. The 7945hx with the 4070 deal will serve you better.

This is niche for creator. The gpu (limited to 110w) is actually slower than a 4070 except at 4k if you are vram limited

For productivity and portability and casual-ish gaming. Very nice deal.

That's primarily a creator laptop with almost nil gaming capabilities with that 60Hz display. This is an all-rounder laptop with gaming, creating, coding, programming, etc., capabilities.

If your primary motive is media consumption and content creation than the P16 with its gorgeous OLED display would be a better choice.

Just a note, these don't have number pads. I'm not sure why laptops always have number pads but this one instead has a full-size keyboard that's centered with the screen. Personally I love it; it's the best keyboard and trackpad I've experienced on a laptop.

Only in the sense that the gpu has a priority tune toward rendering or using the gpu for creative work, like video editing. It's why the ram is higher but the tdp is relatively lower compared to other 3080 laptops. It doesn't make it incapable of gaming, just that the emphasis for this model isn't focused on games even though the stats seem ideal for it.

This is a SOLID deal! I just purchased an Asus ProArt with a RTX 3080ti last week for about $1600. Does anyone know if this one comes with the optional WWAN connectivity? I can't seem to narrow down that search.

3080ti is still a solid card, I don't care what people say lol

Nailed it. It's amazing for a creator laptop and it can game, albeit it's not finely tuned for it specifically.
