My 9ah batteries are flawless. Is this just a bad design by DeWalt with their 12ah? I read that 12ah batteries overheat when subjected to constant load.

How do the FlexVolts compare to the 20v XR batteries for high draw?

My Dyson has been eating up my 5 Ah XR batteries. They're wearing down too quickly despite recharging at 2 bars.

i was just browsing through their site on all the dewalt stuff and pretty much all the other items are overpriced or at cost. they also don't have much Milwaukee stuff. this item is definitely an odd ball and makes me a little suspicious on the 12A battery. I have about 4 of the flexvolt battery and 2 of them went bad and never charge. One of them was just about to expire under their two year warranty and i was able to claim that but interestingly enough, it was a 6A battery but they sent me a 12A version so i'm thinking i definitely came out ahead but now that i'm hearing about the 12A reviews thing makes me wonder if they were just dumping it off on me.

I've never had an issue with the 12ah in the angle grinder, though it is hot after heavy use. I saw where someone said it can overheat in the big chainsaw, but that thing is pulling major current. I have four 12ah and love them for the 60v blower and angle grinder.
