Posting this because I bought it full price ($1499) last week and it's now on sale for $200 less at $1299, and that's a deal to me!

Shipping is $14.99 but it was available at my local costco

This is one of the few touchscreen laptops with >1080 res, 32gb, and a FULL numpad, AND under 5 pounds, all of which are big deals to me.

I posted a reddit thread recently comparing this one to a few other options if it would be of any help to anyone: https://www.reddit.com/r/laptops/...om_costco/

battery life isn't amazing, but it's not short, getting about 3 hours when writing code, maybe another 2 if I'm just browsing around. that's probably the only thing I'd change about this machine, but at least it charges on all my usb C adapters I have around the house (tho it does charge slowly if that's important to you, I just needed it to work!) which was the main complaint I had about that other lenovo one that keeps coming up on ebay over and over.

That resolution is ridiculous. It might as well be 1920x1200 which is inadequate for a screen this size. I do like the Lenovo keyboard though.

I ordered the Galaxy Book4 Pro when it was on sale for $1,399 and it just arrived today. If you don't need a NVIDIA GPU, I would argue it's a much better buy.

well again i'm writing code, running visual studio, building projects, running stuff. that's gonna eat up the battery pretty good, and 3 hours is double what i got from my last machine. i've only been using it a week tho, so I don't have a solid understanding of the full run time, just that i'm happy with it so far!

and yea, I wish the resolution was higher, but it's just under the 2560x1440 i usually run, so i can still see plenty of lines of code.

is it perfect? nah, but it is as close as I'm gonna get to what I really want in one machine

I see, I would expect browsing to do better than 5 though. Since it has an ultra processor. Maybe need to do some optimization to not use dGPU when it's not needed.

How's the build quality?

agreed, I may be underestimating, as I haven't really put it through the wringer yet, been doing a lot of installs and setups, file copying, which is probably not helping the battery life. i'll report back after a few days with a more concrete timing on the battery, i'm still getting used to it!

As for the build, it's pretty cheap feeling, but not as flimsy as I feared it was gonna be. not having any issues with the hinge, nor does it feel like it would give out any time soon, but the screen does wobble a bit if you shake it, but not if you're like say shifting in your lap.

it is definitely light given the plasticy frame, so it's really portable given the size and power, but if you want something solidly built, this definitely ain't it.

Is the screen really a OLED touchscreen? I just read on a different thread that a touch layer in an OLED display causes some issues (not sure exactly what issues) and was wondering if you had any input about that.

Also, is the RAM/storage upgradeable? If so, the weight, the 4050 GPU and the price make this a solid deal for someone like who is looking for a large screen productivity laptop that is also portable and allows me to do some light gaming from time to time.

I couldn't speak to the OLED, I don't know much about that, but the screen is very bright, vibrant, and I have zero issues with touch, response, or resolution. I actually have it at about 75% brightness and I dare say it's brighter than my last machine at full power.

The ram is soldered as far as I know, which is why I'm glad it's 32gb. like you said, this machine is exactly a perfect productivity machine for someone who needs some power, but also wants portability and maybe just a little gaming.

I'm loving it for sure!

Is it safe to code on Lenovo? I just did some research and they had a lot of scandals. Plus with all the banning of Chinese hardware, it makes me worried.
