Now to just build a time machine to go back 10 years to buy crappy electrical tape. That stuff, even if brand new is junk compared to Super 88

I'm seeing it for 66ft. at this price, unless I'm missing it. This SD deal is for 108ft.

This "sale" price is the normal price at Home Depot.

Correct, the HD one is only for 66ft. This tape also works well as an edge guard tape on pickleball paddles. The pictures on Amazon don't show the thickness. I've seen some indications that the Super 88 tape is now 7mils thick instead of the previous 8.5mils. I'm going to order one on the hope that it's still 8.5mils.

lol, still over price. I still have so many of those small electrical tapes from 40 cents each 60 feet from Frys Electronics.

Electrical tape can be had for cheap but the super 88 stuff is great stuff compared to some of the cheaper ones. I have used the cheaper stuff in automotive and sometimes the glue dries out and unravels over time, not so with this stuff

Which is better for home electrical work? Super 33+ or Super 88?

88 is thicker. 33+ has a better "feel" so it stretches more predictably and overall is good for more applications (including bandages). That being said I just carry 33+ and use additional wraps if I need additional insulation (thickness).

33+ forms better and is easier to make waterproof connections/splices with. Technique helps a lot, too.

The picture on the Home Depot website shows the Super 88 as 7mm thick, instead of 8.5mm thick. Also the temperature range now shows 14F-195F, instead of 0F-221F. (Also, Walmart shows that same specification).

Has shrinkflation hit the Home Depot and Walmart versions of the product?

I guess I'll order from Amazon, and hope I get the original version of the product hasn't been watered down yet.
