My nephews HP Omen had malfunctions all throughout the year of the systems warranty period. HP tried to fix the PC, even when the system was out of warranty. Pretty cool that HP tried to fix it. However the HP system was a lemon from the start.

Purchased a case, PSU, liquid cooler, mobo, storage, and windows 11 pro, reused the CPU, GPU, and the ram to build a "newish" system. No issues after those parts went in to a proper setup.

Just FYI. I built my own PC last weekend for 2500 after taxes with way better specs. Almost everything top of the line.

4080 Super, amd 7800x3d, 32gb DDR5, 2TB Samsung 990 pro SSD. X670e motherboard.

This is more expensive after tax with way worse parts. Only get this if you lack the technical capabilities to build your own or don't want to do the hassle of sourcing parts and spending a day assembling and troubleshooting.

Legions are notorious for having an issue with their motherboards that randomly lock users out of their system. Lenovo does something during the build process that triggers a security feature on the bios that eventually locks the user out of the Windows 10 and 11 security center and doesn't let the user do anything on the computer.

That's crazy. I guess every big company with prebuilds have an issue with one thing or another
