Never shopped at Secondipity. How complicated is the return process ? Do they take care of return shipping in case of product issue ?

I'm not sure about the return process, but I bought a couple xg500 speakers from them a couple years ago and both of them arrive basically brand new!
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again

I love secondipty and I got mine for around 200 last year. I travel for work and the battery life is phenomenal. No issues whatsoever

What's the difference between "Refurbished" and "Like New"?

I have Bose QC45's, which have several really annoying quirks; the main problem is that you can't in any way simply use them as passive headphones -- they're either in active NC mode, or actively piping whatever the microphone hears into your ears. Heaven forbid you try to use them in the wind. The XM4's can fully turn off all active NC/ambient/etc functions, right? I'm probably going to grab those for main usage

I've been looking for a separate pair of over-ear Bluetooth headphones for watching tv quietly when the kids are asleep, dedicated to the tv. Ideally under $50ish and comfortable; no need for NC. Anything decent here fit that bill?

I found some XM4 headphones in black and it let me add them to the cart. It even let me apply the coupon but the damn site won't let me create an account. I've tried creating it in the cart during checkout and it just keeps saying "Loading". When that didn't work I went to the main page and tried creating an account there. I'm at the point where I click the reCaptcha and I just get the spinning arrow, it just refuses to create an account. If I try to click "Create Account " with the spinning arrow it tells me "the captcha you entered is incorrect ", I just can't create an account.

Any recommendations for the best ANC? Blocking out sound is much more important than sound quality as I mostly listen to audiobooks/ podcasts.

This seriously sucks, still won't let me create an account.
I called customer service and they were ZERO help. Couldn't place an order online, couldn't tell me what was wrong with their website, couldn't tell me how many of the headphones they had in stock to see if they were actually out of stock, nothing.

The Sony earbuds are tempting, but I got hit by the horrendous battery drain bug on the previous model....
