The 3-step version is excellent and has been posted at $15–25 many times over the years. Search SD. Have two.

I've had this for a few years and love it. Folds down easily to fit besides my refrigerator out of sight.

The 250 lb load capacity should be on sale too for like $30
250 lbs? Still not worth the risk / $. Any savings go straight to hell the second that thing caves in and your wife or kid gets seriously injured because you saved $10.

They always underrate the hell out of these due to potential lawsuits reasons. The real limit is going to be much higher.

I bought the 3 step version and it is considerably heavier than an aluminum one. Not a deal breaker, but my wife wanted to keep our older beat up aluminum one, so this one ended up in the garage, which is fine.

I got the 3-step 225lb version back in 2020 and have used it many times with no issues. I'm 6'2 190lbs and have 9' ceilings, so I rarely have to go above the second step, and any hesitancy to go to the third step is more about my balance than the build quality. But having the third step there for balance is very nice. Folds up small in a hall closet for storage.

If you're planning on essentially using this as a stepstool, the 2-step will probably be fine. But if you want something you can use for a lot of household stuff to avoid getting the ladder out of the garage, the 3-step seems like a better fit unless you're quite tall.

I have this step stool (plus 2 more for grown kids), a low Gorilla platform/bench, the Canon duplex color laser printer, an Anker charger, and a box full of free+$5 shipping Olight flashlights.

Actually, it might be the 3-step version. My husband commandeered it as soon as it arrived and took it to the garage to use when washing his truck, and I haven't seen it since. We gave the kids theirs for Christmas. Whichever was the Black Friday Deal around 2018/2019/2020 is what I bought.

Thank you, SD.

Agree with comments on 3-steps version being more versraile. I found the 2 step to be not quite enough for some applications (like changing lightbulbs) and the 4 step to be too awkward indoors.

My aluminum version still has the modest load rating (250 lbs) but it's much lighter than the steel version.

I have the 3-step version of this product and wouldn't pay more than $20 for it (what I paid a few months ago). It's only marginally better than a chair/stool: while it's definitely more secure and safer, it is heavy, awkward to fold/unfold, and annoying to store (even when folded).

I bought this last time and it came unpackaged and dinged up to hell. Be sure to ask for a partial credit for the cosmetic butchery this thing will endure coming to you.
