Bought this last night. Will post first impressions after delivery tomorrow. All brands are garbage when it comes to Refrigerator. My 4000$ Kitchenaid fridge broke in 6 years(a year after the extended warranty expired) - no cooling whatsoever and too expensive to fix anything out of warranty.

How did you find the inventory near your stores ? i'm not able to lookup using google locator or lowes store availability
You're right! Upon closer inspection, that dispenser on the door is only for water. That's even better!
Yeah, slightly inconvenient in that you need to dig out the ice yourself, but no jamming of the door mechanism coupled with increased space inside the door for food storage makes it a no-brainer to me.
Highly skilled appliance repair person told me never to buy an LG refrigerator. But everybody has their own experiences with LG.
Their linear compressors are garbage, you can Google issues regarding this. I would not buy an LG refrigerator until they fix or change this type of design.

That's what the technician told me. If you buy an LG, be prepared to have that compressor replaced.
Keep in mind, if it's breaks, warranty repair will take at least a couple of weeks minimum(open claim, diag appointment, parts order, who knows if tech can fix it first time)
Completely dependent upon your repair company. I carry all the parts on my truck. When I get a call, it's fixed in 2 hours max.

I've heard similar, but it seems to track to quality control issues that their earlier compressors suffered. I've had one of their units for about a year and a half now with good success, but that's a small window.
The problem is finding a fridge that is reliable. I did a lot of research last time out and the feedback wasn't great. The list to avoid was pretty long and included all the major brands (and when you consider how many of those brands are made by the same company it looks even worse).
Last time out, by the time I had factored in user reviews, consumer reports and some anecdotal feedback, I was left with Bosch and two other higher end units whose cost was much higher. I bit the bullet and tried the LG.
Kudos is running a 20% back on Lowe's till 6/17 if you have discover It card or other card which gives 5% on Lowes. There is a $20 signup too using code NANIDNI_KUDOS.
25% off on this makes a great deal. https://joinkudos.substack.com/p/...o-maximize

They get so frustrated and disappointed, they never buy another one.
