Born/raised. Woodlawn isn't the best neighborhood for certain but that whole area is undergoing gentrification to be sure.

I guess my point is it's a big city and anywhere you go there are going to be dangerous places you should avoid. Parking your car and shopping at a Microcenter in Charlotte just doesn't set off alarms in my brain about needing to be armed or to fear for my life in order to do so.

Then I really hope things continue to improve and the store is a good anchor for more and you're point is completely valid.

Yeah, the media keeps spinning the city as dangerous. I'd rather crime increase from growth and better opportunities than crime increase from lack of them. Smash and grab>drug problems/income issues. Just ask Pitt/Ohio.

I was in Carmel, IN last year when they opened the Indy MC store. I flew home with an Ender from their new store sales. For anyone with some wait time, you can check it onto an airplane if you're passing through. Grab a bungee cord for your roller.

Sad to say these are the brainwashed Fox news and similar news oulet viewers. They all think cities are crime-ridden hellscapes because they believe everything they hear without question.
