Seems very similar to Husky tool cart that goes for $219 (regular price), but several years ago yet they had on sale for $50 (store pickup only).

I bought one then; wish I'd bought two!

Big difference here is the split top. This one allows you to use the top as a work surface and still access the upper compartment. But you need space on the sides to slide it open. I have a blue point with the same design.

So is this a good deal? Is there something cheaper in this size with lower quality?

Can anyone speak to the quality of these? Seems like a really good price, but of it's flimsy thin steel, it's not worth the hassle. Harbor Freight has a tool cart that is regular price of $130 and sale price of $90 pretty often, but it's really thin steel.

Website shows weight of this is 65lbs, and Harbor Freight is 55lbs, which makes me think these are similar in steel gauge.

I ordered it, will let you know how it is. Saw the harbor freight one, this and decided to go with this one for the extra drawer and slide out top.

I'm thinking I will spend a bit more for the better quality, but the price point is on point. Get what you pay for though?

Went to Harbor Freight to look at theirs to remind me how flimsy that one is. Was a good reminder that a cart that is this big and weighs so little is not worth the frustration.

This is the Harbor Freight one I'm talking about: https://www.harborfreight.com/too...59851.html

This one is of similar size and weighs 100lbs, and I'd get it in a heartbeat at $110: https://www.harborfreight.com/too...59572.html

Is the 14-14.5" width an issue? My current wood (sigh) cart is as wobbly as me after a bottle of tequila. But it's 17" front to back. A quick check shows almost all tool carts are 16"-17" deep. Do you think this will be an issue?

I've had this very model for four years. Every screw holding it together backed out within the first six months. I just replaced them with a bolt and nut with Added loctite. Held up fine. I'm a heavy diesel mechanic in a shop. So it takes a beating.

The mechanics at a former employer all went for this split top style cart for having right next to them (in addition to fully kitted tool boxes and cabinets full of specialty tools as they got whatever they wanted within reason) I'm not sure if they were this exact brand but definitely this style. The slide out top offering shelf space without restricting access was the key feature. Check reviews on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Ironton-28...B09TNKVQ1N
