12700k for $150 less (8% performance drop) or 14700k for $99 more (17% performance gain) puts this in a rough spot for sales.

14700k has an overall 4% performance gain. 14th gen not much better than 13th gen.

Plus the F marking means no integrated GPU...which also means no quicksync. You're better off getting a used 13700K on ebay for about the same price, even if you have no immediate plans to use the integrated graphics.

I don't understand all the people who constantly put down CPU's because they don't have integrated graphics. What the heck do you need those for? And even if my current graphics card broke, I still have an old 2070 I could use until the issue is solved. Quicksync? Sure, if you do video work. I don't. I recently got the 12600KF for $150. Great bang for the buck. I suppose in a few years I can throw a 14700K/F in there for a little boost if they go on sale. I do agree that this CPU here doesn't make much sense for the price and what it does.

I got an i7 13700k and ended up turning off the integrated graphics in bios because the drivers kept messing with my AMD 7900xtx video card. At least if something ever goes sideways I can turn it back on and use it.

Without an integrated GPU if anything goes wrong with the video card, then you're unable to even boot to bios to see what's going on, which means any time you try to boot and get a black screen you're stuck swapping components to even begin troubleshooting. It might sound unlikely, but it's enough of a hassle that I won't even risk it anymore.

The iGPU also provides potential (slight) framerate improvements and power savings by offloading tasks from the main GPU, and yes quicksync to transcode content extremely efficiently and of course encoding for twitch streaming or whatever if you're into that sort of thing. I'm sure there's more uses I'm unaware of, but those are the big ones I can list off the top of my head. I myself recently bought one to upgrade my Jellyfin server. 15+ simultaneous transcode streams and 10W of power when idle with no dedicated GPU required, yes please.

And just because you can't imagine ever needing the iGPU doesn't mean it's not worth pointing out that the feature is lacking. It's possible somebody looking at this does need the iGPU capabilities, possibly without even realizing it, and does not realize what the little F means. You seem to have done the calculus and decided the iGPU is not to your benefit, but I find it to be a hard thing to give up when the difference in price is only $20 or so.
