I retrofitted mine with the Blackstone natural gas kit. It used all the same fittings. Still had to make additional trip to HD to get the right size gas valve. But it all works.

Bought 2 weeks ago and like it. My original one had a bent firebox and they wouldn't ship a new one so I had to return it. Second one works great. Really large cooking space for the price.

Can someone compare this to a Blackstone? This seems more premium just by the photos. Can anyone with experience with the two share

I'm seasoning mine this afternoon. I've heard nothing but good things in the past tho about these and on here and the griddle FB groups.

Had mine for a couple weeks. Really need to season properly before use. Mine's already peeling.. Oh well.. W/ more time, I'll build up a proper seasoning.

Cleaning's a chore, but the extra surface area's awesome & can cook more varieties of food vs grill. Can fit so much food.

Another tip: Make sure to level properly w/ leveling screws or else the oil will sit at top/bottom.

Build quality isn't that great. You get what you pay for. Neither is blackstone. There are hot spots. Takes a while to season right. And some people get the corner issue where it gets warped. I didn't but was afraid I would. It's not a bad griddle. It's fair for the price.

I replaced my Blackstone with this one. Similar griddle area, but my Blackstone also had 2-burners. Loved the blackstone, but I recently bought a NewAge system with sink, counter and grill and it's all stainless. I wanted my griddle to match. So I gave away my Blackstone and replaced it with this. I really like it. Works well and has plenty of adjustable burners for varied heat. I also wanted a lid (like my Blackstone had). I'm glad with the purchase.

He's a dumb question. But can i just throw a piece of iron on my regular grill to make it a griddle? What I mean is will there be much difference?

You can do that, too. You can also buy a lodge griddle to put over your stove or grill for less than $50. Much difference is relative to your preference and what you value. This is a dedicated griddle (I have the natural gas version that I bought for the same price) and I preferred it to my stovetop lodge griddle for its size. It's easy to control the heat and cleanup is fairly simple.

I have a bunch of grills and griddles, but my go to for smash burgers is my Weber Kettle with a griddle insert. Works great.
